Frequently asked questions

Where are the straps shipped from? And when will my order be shipped after placing an order?

All orders are shipped from our Vermont warehouses VIC 3133 to ensure fast and reliable delivery. If you place your order before 2:00 pm on a business day, we can usually ship it on the same day. Orders placed after 2:00 pm will generally be shipped on the next business day.

What’s the difference between retractable ratchet straps and traditional ratchet straps?

Retractable ratchet straps feature a built-in self-retracting mechanism that automatically winds the strap back in after use. This keeps the strap neat, tangle-free, and quick to store, making them ideal for frequent use and fast loading.
Traditional ratchet straps require you to manually roll and tie off the excess webbing. While they are simple and effective, they can be time-consuming to pack away and more likely to tangle.
In short:
Retractable straps offer faster operation, cleaner storage, and greater convenience, while traditional straps are basic, manual, and more time-consuming to handle.

What’s the difference between the Slow-Retracting version and the standard retractable version?

The Slow-Retracting version uses a dual-spring mechanism, providing smoother and more controlled retraction. This improves safety, reduces snap-back, and makes it easier to guide the strap back into the housing.
The standard retractable version uses a single-spring mechanism and retracts more quickly, making it ideal for fast and convenient everyday use.
In addition, all of our straps have been upgraded to stainless steel springs, offering improved durability, corrosion resistance, and a longer service life.
In short:
The Slow-Retracting version focuses on control and safety, while the standard version focuses on speed and convenience—with stainless steel springs across the entire range for enhanced durability.

The strap won’t retract after I’ve secured my load — is it a quality issue?

In most cases, this is not a product quality issue. Please first refer to the User Manual (an electronic version is available on our website).
To retract(release) the strap, please make sure the handle is in the correct UNLOCK position. Then press the red button to activate the auto-retraction.
If the handle is not in the UNLOCK position, the strap cannot retract(release)—this is normal and part of the safety design.

Why did my strap break during use?

In most cases, strap breakage is not a quality issue but is caused by improper use. Please note the following:

  • Always use the strap within its WLL (Working Load Limit). Do not overload the strap or exceed the rated capacity.
  • Ratchet straps are designed for securing and restraining loads only. They must not be used for lifting, hoisting, or suspending heavy objects.
  • Avoid sharp or abrasive edges. Securing loads with sharp or pointed surfaces can cause abrasion and cutting, and long-term friction may lead to strap failure.

Following the correct usage guidelines will help ensure safe operation and extend the service life of the strap.
